1. Introduction
Welcome to Reiki Mastery Academy.
These Terms & Conditions govern the purchase and use of our courses, products and services.
Reiki Mastery Academy is operated by Hilary Kingston, a sole trader trading as Reiki Mastery Academy.

Throughout these Terms & Conditions, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Reiki Mastery Academy. “You” and “your” refer to anyone purchasing our products, enrolling in our courses, booking treatments or attending our events.
These Terms & Conditions apply to the products, courses, treatments, classes, workshops and events offered by Reiki Mastery Academy through www.reiki-mastery.com, our associated Sellfy store and any other authorised booking platform.

By purchasing or booking our products or services, you agree to the applicable Terms & Conditions, subject to your statutory consumer rights.
Please read these terms carefully before purchasing or booking.
2. Bookings and Payments
All prices are displayed in pounds sterling (GBP), unless otherwise stated.
Payment is required at the time of booking or purchase unless an alternative arrangement has been agreed in writing.
Bookings are confirmed when payment has been accepted and a booking confirmation has been issued.
Customers are responsible for providing accurate contact details, including a valid email address.
Booking confirmations and relevant information will normally be sent electronically.
Where an event has limited availability, places are allocated according to confirmed bookings.
Any additional charges or payment arrangements will be clearly displayed before purchase.
3. Self-Paced Online Reiki Courses and Digital Products
Reiki Mastery Academy provides self-paced digital Reiki courses, downloadable manuals, audio recordings, educational resources and other digital products, principally through Sellfy.
These courses are designed for independent study and are not live online teaching sessions.
3.1 Online Reiki Courses — Digital Downloads, Sellfy Accounts and Access
Our online Reiki courses include digital manuals, audio recordings, assessments and other educational resources.
Following your purchase, you can download your course materials directly from the purchase confirmation page or through the purchase confirmation email sent to the email address provided at checkout.
You do not need to create a Sellfy customer account to purchase or download your course materials.
Optional Sellfy Customer Account
If customer accounts are enabled for our store, you may choose to create a Sellfy customer account either before or after purchasing.
By registering with the same email address used for your purchases, you can access your previous and future purchases in one place through the “My purchases” section of your Sellfy account.
This allows you to download course materials onto your devices and return to your purchased items through your account at a later date.
Creating a Sellfy account is entirely optional.
We recommend downloading and securely saving copies of your course materials for personal study and future reference.
Sellfy's applicable technical requirements and platform terms may also apply.
Digital Course Manuals and Certificates
All Reiki Mastery Academy course manuals, learning materials and certificates are provided in digital format only, unless expressly stated otherwise.
Reiki Mastery Academy does not provide printed course manuals or certificates. Students who wish to print their materials are responsible for arranging and paying for printing themselves.
Download Records
Through Sellfy, we may have access to records showing which individual course documents, audio recordings and other files have been downloaded.
We may use these records to verify access to purchased materials, provide customer support, resolve technical enquiries and review cancellation or refund requests.
Personal information associated with download records will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

If you experience difficulties accessing or downloading your purchased course materials, please contact support@reiki-mastery.com for assistance.
3.2 Cancellation Rights and Refunds
Consumers purchasing digital content online generally have a statutory 14-day cancellation right.
Where digital content is supplied immediately, that right may be lost once supply begins, provided the customer has expressly consented to immediate supply, acknowledged the resulting loss of cancellation rights, and the applicable legal confirmation requirements have been satisfied.
Where those requirements have not been met, the customer's statutory cancellation rights remain unaffected.
Express Consent to Immediate Digital Access
By ticking the mandatory “I agree to the terms and conditions” checkbox at checkout, you expressly consent to Reiki Mastery Academy supplying your purchased digital course content immediately, before the end of the statutory 14-day cancellation period. You also acknowledge and understand that you will lose your statutory right to cancel once the supply of the digital content begins, subject to your rights under applicable consumer law.
Nothing in these terms excludes any rights relating to faulty, misdescribed or otherwise non-conforming digital content.
Refund requests should be sent to support@reiki-mastery.com.
Approved refunds will normally be returned through the original payment method.
3.3 Digital Online Reiki Course Completion and Certification
Students must successfully complete the required assessment and certification criteria within two years of their original course purchase to qualify for certification.
After two years, students may continue using their downloaded course materials for personal study, but certification under the original purchase will no longer be available.
Certification requirements include, where applicable:
- Completion of the relevant Reiki Attunement.
- Successful completion of the Reiki Assessment.privacy
- Submission of the required Case History for Reiki Level 1 Diploma students.
- Completion of the required assessments within two years of purchase.
- Evidence of previous Reiki qualifications where required for admission to Reiki Level 2, Reiki Master or Advanced Reiki Teacher courses.
Students undertaking the combined Reiki Level 1 and Level 2 Diploma Course will receive one combined certificate upon successful completion of both levels.
A digital certificate is issued only when the relevant course requirements have been fulfilled.
Upon successful completion of all relevant requirements, the digital Reiki certificate will be issued electronically and sent to the student's registered email address given on the Assessment form in a digital format. Printed certificates are not supplied.
3.4 Online Digital Reiki Attunements
A Distant Reiki Attunement is included with the applicable Reiki courses.
Students may purchase an optional personalised Reiki Attunement for an additional fee.
Personalised Reiki Attunements are normally scheduled for the Wednesday following purchase. Purchases made on a Wednesday will normally be scheduled for the following Wednesday. The scheduled time is provided in the course manual and cannot ordinarily be changed.
The student and the Reiki Master tune in at the same time and the transmission of the Reiki Attunement takes place. It is recommended that the Reiki Attunement Audio be played at the commencement time set out in the manual.
Please note that the student and Reiki Master do not see each other on a device, video, in any other format or in-person for this Attunement. The Reiki Attunement can be accessed at any time, thereafter, if the student is not available at the time of the Reiki Attunement, by playing the digital Reiki Attunement Audio in accordance with the accompanying instructions and the course manual.
3.5 Gift Purchases
Digital courses and products may be purchased as gifts.
The purchaser must provide the recipient's correct email address so that the relevant order confirmation and access instructions can be delivered.
4. In-Person Group Reiki Training
In-Person Group Reiki Training provides instructor-led, practical Reiki education delivered at a physical venue.
The corresponding self-paced Online Reiki Course is included with the In-Person Group Reiki Training booking.
Students are required to read, study and familiarise themselves with the supplied online course materials before attending the in-person training.
This preparation allows the in-person course to focus primarily on practical experience, including self-healing, giving Reiki treatments to others and developing the skills and confidence to offer Reiki treatments professionally, alongside relevant theoretical teaching.
The training is designed as a hands-on practical learning experience, with individual guidance and support from a Reiki Master with 25 years' experience in Reiki, healing and energy work.
Students must attend the required training and successfully complete any applicable assessments before certification can be awarded.
Previous Reiki qualifications may need to be evidenced where relevant.
Course-specific details, including location, duration, prerequisites, fees, certification requirements and cancellation arrangements, will be provided before booking.
Participants are responsible for arranging their own travel and accommodation unless expressly included in the booking.
The included digital course materials remain subject to the applicable digital content terms and statutory consumer rights.
5. Reiki Healing Treatments — Online and In Person
Reiki Healing Treatments may be offered remotely or at an agreed physical location.
These sessions are intended to support relaxation and personal wellbeing and are complementary to, not substitutes for, conventional medical care.
Reiki Mastery Academy does not diagnose medical conditions, prescribe medication or recommend discontinuing medical treatment.
Clients should consult an appropriately qualified healthcare professional about medical concerns.
5.1 Registration, Health Declaration and Consent
All clients booking Reiki Healing Treatments, whether online or in person, must complete and submit the required Health Declaration & Consent Form at least 24 hours before their appointment.
The information provided must be accurate and complete to the best of the client's knowledge.
Where the required form has not been received, Reiki Mastery Academy may postpone the appointment until the relevant information has been provided and reviewed.
The applicable cancellation and rescheduling provisions will apply, subject to statutory consumer rights and the fairness of any charges.
5.2 Appointment Cancellations
Clients wishing to cancel or reschedule a Reiki Healing Treatment must provide more than 24 hours' notice before the scheduled appointment.
Cancellations or requests to reschedule made within 24 hours of the appointment, or failure to attend without notice, will normally result in the full appointment fee being charged or retained, to the extent that this is a fair and proportionate reflection of the loss resulting from the cancellation.
Where the appointment can be filled or losses reduced, this will be taken into account.
Clients arriving late may receive a shortened session where extending the appointment is not reasonably possible.
If Reiki Mastery Academy cancels the appointment, the client will be offered an alternative appointment or an appropriate refund.
Any applicable statutory cancellation rights remain unaffected.
6. Group Reiki and Energy Healing Sessions
Group Reiki and Energy Healing sessions may be delivered online or in person.
Sessions may include guided relaxation, meditation, Reiki and other complementary energy-based practices.
Participants must complete the applicable Health Declaration & Consent Form before attending.
Participants should arrive or join punctually and follow the facilitator's reasonable instructions.
Online participants are responsible for having a suitable internet connection and an appropriate, comfortable environment.
Group sessions are complementary wellbeing experiences and do not replace medical or psychological care.
Any recording, photography or sharing of other participants' personal information requires appropriate permission.
Booking and cancellation conditions will be displayed before payment.
7. Conscious Connected Breathwork — Online and In Person
Conscious Connected Breathwork (CCB) is a guided breathing practice which may produce physical, emotional or psychological responses.
Sessions may be offered privately, in groups, online or in person.
Participation is voluntary.
7.1 Health Screening
All participants in Conscious Connected Breathwork sessions, whether online or in person, are required to complete and submit a confidential Health Declaration & Consent Form before participation.
The form includes specific health screening questions relevant to Conscious Connected Breathwork.
Certain physical or psychological conditions, pregnancy, medications or other circumstances may make this breathing practice unsuitable or require modifications or medical advice.
Relevant health information must be provided accurately so that the facilitator can assess whether participation or a modified approach is appropriate.
Reiki Mastery Academy may recommend a gentler breathing practice, request appropriate medical clearance or decline participation where there are reasonable safety concerns.
Any resulting refund or alternative arrangement will be considered fairly, taking account of the circumstances and applicable consumer rights.
7.2 Participation and Personal Responsibility
Participants are encouraged to remain aware of their comfort and wellbeing throughout the session.
They may slow their breathing, return to natural breathing, rest or stop participating at any time.
Participants should notify the facilitator if they experience discomfort or distress.
Online participants must choose a safe, private and comfortable space where they will not be disturbed.
CCB is not a replacement for medical or mental health treatment.
7.3 Online Technical Requirements
Participants are responsible for having a suitable internet connection, device and environment for online sessions.
Where a participant experiences a temporary technical interruption, they should attempt to reconnect as soon as reasonably possible.
A brief interruption, particularly towards the end of a session, does not automatically entitle the participant to a replacement session or full refund.
Where a substantial part of the session is lost due to technical difficulties attributable to Reiki Mastery Academy, an appropriate remedy will be offered, which may include rescheduling, a partial refund or another reasonable arrangement.
Nothing in this provision limits statutory consumer rights.
8. Live Online Breathwork & Wellbeing Sessions
Reiki Mastery Academy offers live online sessions, including Conscious Connected Breathwork, Reiki, meditation, Qigong and other wellbeing practices.
8.1 Bookings and Payments
Your place is confirmed once payment has been received, unless otherwise stated on the booking page.
8.2 Participant Cancellations and Refunds
Our standard cancellation arrangements are:
- More than 24 hours before the session: You may request a full refund or transfer to another available session.
- Within 24 hours of the session: No standard refund or transfer is offered, subject to fair and proportionate cancellation charges and applicable statutory rights.
- Missed sessions: Refunds are not normally available for non-attendance, subject to applicable consumer rights.

8.3 Health and Participation
Participants must complete any required Health Declaration & Consent Form before attending.
Please ensure you have a suitable internet connection, appropriate equipment and a safe, private space in which to participate.
You may pause, modify or stop any activity if you feel uncomfortable.
8.4 Technical Difficulties
If significant technical difficulties attributable to Reiki Mastery Academy prevent delivery of a session, we will offer an appropriate refund or alternative session.
A brief technical interruption that does not materially affect the overall session will not automatically entitle a participant to a full refund or repeat session.
8.5 Cancellation by Reiki Mastery Academy
If we cancel a session, you will be offered a full refund or the option to transfer to another available date.
These arrangements do not affect your statutory consumer rights, including any applicable cooling-off rights.
9. Sound Healing and Sound Baths
Sound Healing sessions may involve singing bowls, tuning forks, drums, chimes and other sound-producing instruments.
All participants must complete the relevant Health Declaration & Consent Form before attending.
Participants must disclose relevant health conditions, hearing sensitivities, sound sensitivities or other circumstances that may affect their participation.
Sound levels, instruments or participation arrangements may be modified where appropriate.
Participants may request a reduction in sound intensity or withdraw from the activity at any time.
Sound Healing is a complementary wellbeing practice and is not a replacement for medical treatment.
10. Qigong
Qigong classes and workshops may be offered online or in person and involve gentle movement, breathing exercises and focused awareness.
Participants are encouraged to work within their own physical capabilities and to modify or stop movements that cause discomfort.
Participants must complete the applicable Health Declaration, Waiver & Participation Consent Form before attending.
Qigong is intended to support personal wellbeing and does not replace medical advice or treatment.
11. Wellbeing Days, Workshops and Retreats
Reiki Mastery Academy offers wellbeing events incorporating selected practices such as Conscious Connected Breathwork, Qigong, Reiki, meditation, healing and sound integration.
Each event will have its own published programme, location, date, duration, price and participation requirements.
11.1 Booking and Attendance
Places are limited and are confirmed following successful payment.
Participants will receive relevant joining information, including the venue, arrival arrangements and items to bring.
Participants are responsible for their own travel and accommodation unless expressly included.
11.2 Participant Cancellation and Refund Policy
As places on our in-person Reiki courses, Wellbeing Days, workshops and retreats are limited, we kindly ask that you provide as much notice as possible if you are unable to attend.
If you need to cancel your booking, please notify Reiki Mastery Academy by email at support@reiki-mastery.com as soon as possible.
Our standard cancellation and refund policy is:
- 28 days or more before the event: Full refund.
- 14–27 days before the event: 50% refund.
- Less than 14 days before the event: No standard refund.
Where a cancelled place can be filled by another participant, we may offer an additional refund or transfer, taking account of any reasonable costs incurred.
Cancellation charges will only be applied to the extent that they are fair and proportionate to the losses arising from cancellation.
Your statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.
11.3 Fixed-Date Events – Cancellation Rights
Bookings for our in-person wellbeing days, workshops and other events are made for a specified date.
Under Regulation 28(1)(h) of the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, the statutory 14-day cooling-off right does not apply to qualifying leisure activities booked for a specific date or period.
Where this exemption applies, booking cancellation, refund and transfer arrangements are governed by our published Cancellation & Refund Policy, subject always to your statutory consumer rights.
Please read the Cancellation & Refund Policy carefully before completing your booking. If you have any questions about your eligibility to participate, please contact us before purchasing your place.
11.4 Event Changes and Cancellations
If we cancel an in-person course, Wellbeing Day, workshop, retreat or live online session, you will be offered a full refund or the option to transfer to another available date.
If we reschedule an event, you may accept the new date or request a full refund.
You are responsible for arranging your own travel and accommodation where applicable.
We recommend considering appropriate travel insurance for events involving significant travel expenses.
We are not responsible for independently booked travel or accommodation expenses except where required by law.
11.5 Health & Suitability Information
All participants must review our Health & Suitability Information before booking and complete the required Health Declaration & Consent Form before attending.
All cancellation and refund arrangements remain subject to statutory consumer rights.
11.6 Health Declaration & Consent Form
All participants must complete and submit the required Health Declaration & Consent Form before attending. The form will include general health screening and additional questions relevant to the activities included in the event.
Participation in individual activities is voluntary.
Participants may be offered modifications or advised not to participate in a particular activity where there are reasonable health or safety concerns.
The applicable event cancellation and refund conditions remain subject to statutory consumer rights.
12. Transfers to Another Person or Event Date
If you are unable to attend an In-Person Group Reiki Training course, Wellbeing Day, workshop or retreat, you may request to transfer your place to another person.
Please contact us in advance. Any replacement participant must meet the relevant course prerequisites and complete any required health declarations or participation forms.
We may also consider transferring your booking to another available date, subject to availability and any reasonable additional costs. Transfers are not guaranteed.
Any cancellation charges or additional fees will be fair and proportionate, and your statutory rights remain unaffected.
13. Personal Belongings
Please take reasonable care of your personal belongings while attending our in-person courses and events.
We recommend bringing only items necessary for participation.
Nothing in these terms limits any legal responsibility we may have for loss or damage caused by our negligence.
14. General Health Disclaimer, Medical Assistance and Participation Consent
Reiki Mastery Academy offers complementary wellbeing practices including Reiki Healing, Energy Healing, Conscious Connected Breathwork, Sound Healing, Qigong, meditation and related activities.
These practices are not intended to diagnose, treat or cure medical conditions and are not substitutes for conventional medical or psychological care.
Reiki Mastery Academy does not provide medical diagnoses, prescribe medication or recommend discontinuing treatment prescribed by a qualified healthcare professional.
Participants should consult their GP, medical consultant or another appropriately qualified healthcare professional about medical concerns or questions regarding their suitability for participation.
If a participant feels unwell, experiences concerning symptoms or requires medical attention, they should seek appropriate medical assistance. In a medical emergency, they should call 999 or attend an Accident & Emergency department, as appropriate.
Participants are expected to provide relevant and accurate information in their Health Declaration and to follow reasonable safety instructions.
Participation is voluntary, and participants may stop or decline any activity.
The Health Declaration, Waiver & Participation Consent Form records the participant's understanding of the nature of the activities, relevant health considerations and agreement to participate.
Signing or electronically acknowledging this form does not waive statutory consumer rights or exclude liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
No particular physical, emotional, psychological or spiritual outcome is guaranteed.
15. Health Declaration & Consent Procedure
For online and in-person treatments, healing sessions, breathwork, sound healing, Qigong, group training and wellbeing events, participants must complete the applicable Health Declaration & Consent Form before participation.
The form will contain a common general health declaration, together with additional screening questions and acknowledgements appropriate to the activities being undertaken.
Participants must provide accurate information and notify Reiki Mastery Academy of relevant changes before attending subsequent sessions.
The form may be completed electronically using an appropriate secure system, with a recorded acknowledgement and date of submission, or signed in person where appropriate.
Completion of the form does not replace the separate acceptance of the Terms & Conditions at booking.
Health information will be processed in accordance with the Privacy Policy and applicable data protection legislation.
Where explicit consent is the selected legal condition for processing health information, this will be requested separately from general agreement to the Terms & Conditions.
16. Intellectual Property and Copyright
All Reiki Mastery Academy course materials, manuals, audio recordings, presentations, written content, branding and other original resources are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Purchasing a course or product grants the purchaser a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the purchased materials for their own learning and personal reference.
Unless expressly authorised in writing, materials must not be reproduced for commercial purposes, redistributed, resold, shared publicly, incorporated into other training programmes or uploaded to third-party platforms.
Purchased digital materials may be downloaded and stored for personal use in accordance with the applicable product licence.
17. Website Use and Third-Party Services
Our website and booking systems may contain links to third-party services, including Sellfy, Wix, payment providers and online meeting platforms.
These services may have their own terms and privacy policies.
We take reasonable care in providing accurate information but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability of third-party platforms.
Customers should use appropriate security precautions when accessing websites or downloading digital files.
Nothing in this section affects statutory consumer rights.
18. Privacy and Data Protection
Reiki Mastery Academy processes personal information in accordance with its separate Privacy Policy and applicable data protection legislation.
Personal information may be collected for bookings, payments, customer support, course administration, certification and relevant health screening.
Where health information is collected, additional data protection safeguards apply.
Marketing communications will be handled in accordance with applicable law and individual communication preferences.

19. Photography, Recordings and Confidentiality
Reiki Mastery Academy respects the privacy of participants attending private and group sessions.
Participants must not record or distribute sessions or disclose other participants' personal information without appropriate permission.
Where Reiki Mastery Academy wishes to take photographs or make recordings for promotional purposes, participants will be informed and appropriate permission obtained.
Declining promotional photography or recording will not prevent participation in an otherwise suitable session.
20. Changes to Services and Terms
Reiki Mastery Academy may update its products, services, prices and Terms & Conditions from time to time.
Changes will not retrospectively remove or reduce rights under existing customer contracts.
Material changes affecting confirmed bookings will be communicated where appropriate.

22. Governing Law and Consumer Rights
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory legal protections applicable to consumers in their place of residence.
Nothing in these terms affects statutory rights under applicable consumer protection legislation.
23. Agreement to Terms
Customers will be asked to accept the applicable Terms & Conditions when purchasing or booking, where supported by the booking platform.
Additional express consent or acknowledgements may be required for immediate digital content delivery, health information processing or particular activities.
Acceptance of these terms does not automatically constitute consent to receive marketing communications.
